The Empress was written in June of 2019 to showcase my custom Artist Series guitar from House guitars.

The Empress is about abundance, femininity and the Mother Earth Archetype. 

 

I chose a busier fingerpicking pattern to portray abundance and tried to make the composition feel warm. When I wrote this I imagined walking through the scene that the Empress is in - a wooded area with water and tall grasses.
